done already allot of bodywork now but came to a point that my normal set of bench hammers ( with round of corners) and metal tubes no longer are sufficient for what i want to do. what shapes and type of hammers should i go for?

for example i am now removing the rear bumper lip of the car but the body needs some massaging to fit onto each other. with what i have i make to much dents. 5 years ago i wouldnt have bothered... now... well i keep looking at that 1 mm fault...

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Ive been a panel beater/fabricator for 25 years Aston Martin trained and I have one flat faced planishing hammer which rarely gets used. I dont have any dollies - theyre for girls - handweights are for men, mine are just random blocks of steel that Ive filed into various shapes for what Ive needed at the time.
If you want to buy panel hammers get Sealey as theyre the only half decent ones on the market but even then you will have to file the faces flat and polish the hammers up.
I have a rough arse old ball pien hammer that my dad had years ago which has had about half a dozen new handles over the years for a lot of stuff but for panel finishing I use a flipper that I made from an old file, you will see flippers if you google it

I seriously doubt it!

a flipper i thinck my granddad once made one out of a leave spring from an old jeep. do the blocks need allot of rounding? so flat sides are better then the rounded onces? i also see allot of pointy hammers etc?

The faces should always have a slight curvature rather than fully flat.
Leaf spring is best for flippers

I seriously doubt it!
