I was looking to drop engine straight in but thought I would inspect first and found a chunk out the side of one the Pistons, not good any advice on rebuild etc?

Bugger. I'd give it a full inspection at least. If there's chunks out the piston its bound to want other stuff!

Swansea boyo!

If you need a hand give us a shout. Myself and Carlzilla (Carl) are between Swansea and minispares often.

Ok brill cheers, I've had about 13 minis over the years but this is my first one for about 4 years suprised that all the parts seem to be drying up and prices have gone through the roof, I done a turbo mini before but I sold it before I finished it but I'm determine to keep this one and do it, any standard turbo Pistons about?

I'm up the road in Bridgend. Started buying bits to turbo my 998, but I have lots of body panels to replace and two sub frames to restore first.

Did you get that first engine off ebay? It looks familiar

Just need inlet / outlet manifolds and the carb. Plus fuel pump etc but I'll make that stuff up myself.
