Interesting.

I think the IVA info you have included is misleading though. i.e you WILL need an IVA. When it says 'new from the manufacturer' it means the original or licenced manufacturer, not just any old shell.

Also, the £25k for a mini sprint to Japan, was just that. A Tricket converted steel shelled mini made in the '60s. It wasn't a GRP kit car. I suggest that complete this car is worth less than you have it advertised for at best. As it is, without an IVA or registration.......... good luck.

Look at what a complete (with registration) Mini Minus is advertised for on here, I know where my money would be going if I was in the market for such a thing. And I love GRP cars.

He wanted to buy my minus. It's sold now though.

You are correct only way to get this on the road legally would be an IVA or try and wangle a donor car and claim most parts are from that but it would be very difficult.

I would say it's worth the money to the right buyer, the issues are the paintwork it's just not very sellable. Custom minis had one of there's up for a fair bit less and he didn't sell it for ages. Had a cage but no doors/front.

Swansea boyo!

I've seen this for sale for months, whenever someone offers what I'd say it's really worth they get the 'I'm in no rush to sell' reply which now seems like a lie haha. That's a good point Will, your not getting much for your money in comparison to what Jonnys just sold. Good luck with the sale anyway!

Excellent, it was lovely looking car, with a reg and some history, plus it was a reasonable price.

Because it looks like a mini you might get away with it, but that doesn't make it right. If it was my sabre sprint shape you wouldn't even think about it.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm an arse. But the info on the ebay listing is wrong and misleading. The value is just my opinion as someone who spends too much time watching unregisterd plastic cars fail to sell for a grand on ebay. But at least this one looks good (other than the paint).

The custom minis one is actually a moulding taken from one of these ABS shells - Contact ABS to confirm that.

Paintwork, i agree, however its in no different state to what it is in the white gelcoat, as that would need to be painted anyway, and the prep is the same :)

Ive been offered £1500 for it, where has there ever been a reasonable offer? Im in no rush to sell it to morons without cash,

Its a 4k shell new, has a full bespoke rollcage in it, custom windows etc, all this adds up mate,

Why would i sell it for £1500...

Contradictory your statement that i must be lying to not be in a rush to sell it, or i would have taken that money surely?

Johnnys car wasn't IVA'd or declared as a minus (i have the email) but he didn't want to state it on a forum or ebay, like i have... Im just being open yet get flack for it.....

Also ive got no idea why your talking about a steel shell, as im NOT referring to that, it was one supplied by abs Motorsport, which is GRP

I understand what you are referring to. and my point is that you can not class that as a shell supplied by the manufacturer. Because ABS or Custom Moulds never made the original car as stated on the V5.

I'm not giving you flack for declaring the shell has no V5. all I'm saying is that the information and guidance your ebay listing has regarding the IVA process is wrong and misleading.

I didn't know that about the Minus, that would certainly reduce the value.
