hi guys been a long time since i was last here as been busy working and sort of lost the love for my mini.

i lost my workshop space so my cars been sitting in a council garage for the last 6 months, so think its time to move on and would like to know what you guys think its worth.

I have a metro turbo engine, but i don't have the mani or turbo for it but have checked it out and it is defiantly a metro turbo engine. Was working fine when i pulled it out of the car over a year ago, and been turned to make sure its not seized every now and then when Ive had a chance. What is this worth. Would probably benefit from a rebuild, but like i said ran when removed so could throw straight in but id suggest a rebuild what is this worth on its own.

I also have a rolling shell basically only taken the engine out of it and few other bits, but is complete and have all the bits for it. The front sub frame looks virtually new and has revolution alloys. Problems with it is rust. The doors have gone to badly for a re-skin, rear valance is in need of repair, rear quarter panels need some investigation as got some dubious weld splatter around the arches, and holes starting to appear under rear windows. a pillars could do with being done and inner sills are going as well as front edge of the foot-wells, but i have the repair panels for most of these that would come with the car. as well as few other panels and another set of seats and new carpets for it be perfect for someone that knows how to weld. what is this worth with and without the engine.

i know its hard to tell without pics but im currently away and its dark when i get home of an evening, so will try get some photos when i get back as got a couple of days off .

thanks like i say i'm looking for a rough price, as want to get myself something jap and rwd in the next year and need the money freed up, but not sure what its worth been told anywhere from 300 quid all together to 2 k all together.

As above, £1000; But good pics make a noticeable difference.

Worth a little more if you split the engine, shell and maybe the wheels if you can replace them at little cost). There's a good chance they won't want a turbo engine or those specific wheels and won't bid up for them.

yeah like i say id split it all up but id want buyers for everything as have a mate that guy bought the engine off him and then he couldn't get rid of the shell

fact i have a guy saying hell give me 700 for the engine and a working 998 means im not sure on what the going rate is but by sounds of it need to bite his hand off for that deal

im back Friday then busy till Wednesday so will try and get some pics up Thursday or Friday but its crammed in under a hole load of junk so will try dig it out

Turbo engine prices are odd. If you haven't got all the parts like manifolds, plenum, turbo and it needs a rebuild, IMO there's no real advantage to using it as a starting point...Yet people will pay a huge premium - that's more than double the price of a std 1275. If that offer is genuine, take his money quick!

Are you saying he'll give you a 998 as well? A rolling shell on steel wheels with a 998 sounds like a very good blank canvas to me.

It's hard to imagine a project from just a pile of parts; Even if it's a wreck, spend a day cleaning it and bolting on doors, bumpers, interior etc, and someone will take a shine to it.

phil sounds like it need to rip his arm off 700 quid and a 998 is what he would give me for teh 1275

its all together the engine is just removed and bits like master cylinder and servo to make it easier to get the engine out so pretty much all completesounds like i just need to put it up for sale

stig i dont have any of the turbo parts just the engine think i might have a turbo manifold somewhere that i bought for it but thats all

T3 turbos n manifolds are easy to get hold of... ive even got 2 spare ill be sellin soon
