It is with a heavy heart and a serious reality check I have decided to offer my unfinished mini 16v project for sale. Please see my build thread for the exact details but the current state of play is this

Many laboriously hand made bits all powder coated, shell is an ex mini 7 race mini-its a bit of a snotter with a spray can paint job but its solid and presentable with a great cage, alloy skinned doors,braced and alloy panelled rear end,carbon roof, plastic windows, new glass screen.

Engine runs, clutch works, brakes work everything except drive shafts and nearly every bit to finish is included. New force wheels with new a008 tyres, set of 5 used miglia slicks too, brand new protech coil overs, brand new mini spares allot 4 pots, new bearings bushes seals ect throughout.

Low mileage citroen tujp4 engine with decomp plate and new ancillaries, also great low mileage mini cooper s twin scroll turbo charger, running a saxo inlet manifold and on an emerald md3k ecu.

The seats and harnesses are out of date but in excellent nick and there are 2 of them plus another set of side mounts

My jobs list to finish it as a track car as I wanted it is as follows

finish paint and fit all fibreglass
door handles to fit
air filter and intake pipe get/fit
finish wrapping exhaust and bolt on, largest but is done
couple of alloy bits to fettle to finish coolant system
drive shafts to make and fit so it will drive-these are 1/2 made
pair of longer tie bars to make
have mapped/map engine
set suspension up

I'm going to keep plugging away with it when I can but if you want to take it as it is I'm looking for £4500 which I think is a bargain.

I'm not breaking it at this stage so please don't ask for dibs on anything but anymore info you need on the car please pm me.

Great shame that you can,t/won,t finish this project

Cheers Dave, I think the price is very fair to try get a straightforward sale, I hope at that price it will tempt people who maybe want a track car or there's enough in it for someone to split the oily bits for a 16v road car and part out the shell if they wish.

I've had a few questions on eBay about splitting the car, my response thus far has been to say I'll pull the engine in its frame with everything (except the hubs and brakes), the ecu and the afr gauge and flog them for £1100 and basically everything else for £3400. Just in case that's of interest

I would have thought £1100 is s bit cheap for a Yorkshire man to sell Tha lot for

Well 2nd hand prices the afr is 100, the engine and box 300, the ecu 300, the turbo 250, rad and fan 100 plus 50 in other bits and you get the frame, decomp plate ect for nowt, seems a sensible price for someone to take it as is but im not getting bid down the price is the price.

The shell, i can tot up over 3k easily just in new bits so your getting the shell for a few hundred quid thrown in, seems reasonable to me
