I'm getting rid of the walnut look dash I have and was wondering what colour you reckon would go with the car? The car is tweed grey and has a bit of red inside on the door cards and seat buckles but think it might be a bit too much to paint the dash the same... The walnut doesn't go with the look I'm going for so its getting changed.

What do you think, would the red be too much?

Yeah red would be too much! Maybe slight detailing in red? But id go with black, maybe flock?

Thing is I thought the walnut was a bit dark... Black may be too much?

Mine is black (claimed to be charcoal) but i used the grey dash rails to contrast. I personally dont think it makes it too dark as its a polished finish it reflects the light too

Black wrinkle - slight retro vibe. Won't appear as dark as plain black but could always spray metallic charcoal over the top for a slightly more modern take

Wrinkle finish was pretty common on 60's dashes such as the mgs
