I know a few people on here have them... 70-73 kind of year, tin top.. what to look out for?
Obviously rust.. but where is there hidden areas/normal areas (like how minis have there sills, roof gutters, boot floor as there most common.. but how flitch n heel board can be hidden, so where are the campers areas?)

Other main points to look? I know about end float on the crank but not much else? I would get it checked out properly before i buy but im having a looky at it tomorrow so some pointers for now will be much appreciated!

Also i know its like saying 'how much are minis worth?' Is like saying is how long is a bit of string but roughly how much are these valued at/ actually sell at?

Thanks in advance !!! *smiley*

Depends on how mint it is
A good friend of mine is thinking of selling his and he's in London
It's just had an engine rebuild and a lot of the rust sorted
Full camper spec but has been hand painted (sky blue which it is originally)
Think he's looking for £6500

Its a 72 banbury conversion, really is a survivor car! Original paint, wheels, interior.. updated running gear all fuel lines, engine ancillaries, window rubbers etc.. its got a new custom narrow front axle and the rear chassis' been notched so its low! Were talking 5 figures..

Also... it has an original tow bar fitted, now this maybe a really cruel thought but as soon as i saw it i thought ooo... could it possibly pull a lightweight mini on a small lightweight trailer?? I automatically thought thats cruel for the poor old bus but the owner said hes seen buses pull 900kg caravans?
Is this possible or cruel? (Engines 1600)

plenty of people pulled trailers and caravans with 'low powered' cars in the past. Assuming it can legally tow the weight, I suppose it would come down to how fast you want to get anywhere
