I'm getting my crank polished and balanced so obviously need the flywheel in its finished state to do this.

I'd personally go straight for the RTS. I'm running a standard turbo plate and its been fine so far with 15psi |

Thanks guys, seems to be a big tolerance on what some std turbo clutches can handle, guess it depends on the spring thickness.

...its also well worth lengthening the verto arm a bit with a strong RTS, Any idea how long you can extend the clutch arm? |

I think I'll get the crank balancing done with std clutch and flywheel (may lighten it a little) then build an rts when I'm ready and get that rebalanced Tuctuc, I was thinking the same thing but read the RTS build thread several times last night and IMO would be a shame to have to pull the clutch / engine for something so simple, especially if there's a fairly good chance it's needed. I started my RTS build this morning and it's as simple as it looks and now all but assembled (just waiting for the bolts). On 2nd Sep, 2015 Joe C said:
you can go about 1/3 longer IMO The Metro arm option sound good, but I need it done ASAP so just went at it with a MIG and angle grinder. It's extended a third (about 18mm). Does it look right? I suppose I have to tweak the slave cylinder mount, or will the pushrod still work at an angle? |
