I see Minispares are doing uprated heli gears now:

I guess most of the noise is still going to come from SC drops but maybe an alternative.

There was a helical drop gear idler with a central timken style bearing in MiniMag last month but they are not listing it yet.

Interesting! I suppose if your prepared to pay that much there could be scope for a quietish turbo mini.

I don't think it will be much more than the straight cut timken conversion.

Quiestish.... but still sounds like the dentists assistants spit hoover when on the motorway! (What it reminds me of anyway lol)
