I'm doing a 1293 turbo, can anyone point me in the right direction of which wiring loom I need to buy? I no it won't be any of the injection ones but there seems to be quite a few different carb looms |

Buy the loom appropriate for your year of vehicle, and the dash/lights/switches etc you will be using.

If your car is an SPi than switching to the carb loom of the same year should be easy.If its an MPi than its a bit more complicated as the fusebox and several relays will be in different locations. If its an MPi do you have to ( or want to ) retain SRS for MOT. Do you want to retaine the alarm even though you will lose the immobilizer with the ECU. If you are running a programmable ignition you are going to need to make up a sub loom for that seperatly . |

Just bear in mind that if you are changing an SPi to a carb, you're likely to struggle to meet the emissions test at an MOT. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

In this case the turbo engine. How you actually prove that though....is another matter despite it being obvious it is older. 9.85 @ 145mph

Yes, but changing your engine with the DVLA is such a pain that I'd rather not bother.
