I'm going to be very lazy and just re-write the for sale post that I originally bought it from. Looking for £150 collected from Rotherham.

It does come to bits. I brought it home in the back of the metro van, so will go in most cars.

My old lathe, I think it was made before the old king died, there is some play in the chuck & tool post so it is no good for precision machining, however it if pretty good for making drop links, engine steadies, spacers and a million and one other round parts as long as you can accommodate a little flex in your tolerances.

Last year I fitted a new Clarke motor to replace the old knacker one & I fitter a clarke push button starter thingy at the same time.

It has three speeds: the wrong speed, a totally inappropriate speed, and you've got to be joking speed but these can be changed by altering the size of the pulley on the motor and these are readily available from Machine Mart. There is also a wood box full of random gears & lathe like parts that came with it, but I've not quite figured them out.

It also comes with a selection of lathe tools to get you started but they ideally need replacing. I've also got some off cuts of round stock that I'll chuck in to get you started.

The best bit is that there are two Jacobs chucks, a revolving steady and a die holder.
