Anyone in bham
Basically need my ball joints changing both sides as i had 1 shear straight off last night
But also wanted a visual check as to weather anything else needs changing so i need someone with more experience than the little i have. Pm if your available please

It is really worth having ago yourself! Youll be surprised how easy it is.. and if you plan on having a mini for a while you best learn anyway cos theyll always need attention

Yep having a go myself under the guidance of neighbour who has many years experience.
Only problem being my passenger hub where bottom ball joint screws on has cracked anyone got a spare 8.4 hub?

I think minisport sell the whole hub new with new bearings and ball joints fitted for like £85??

hubs going on 2moz morning with new ball joints,heavy duty tie bars,track rod ends gaitors etc but having never set up track rod ends etc im worried the wheels will be all over the place. id still like some help if anyone is local and can lend a hand ill obviously pay for there time cheers bob

Set the steering wheel to straight, then by eye adjust the tracking till both wheels point straight forwards. Then drive slowly to your nearest place to have the tracking done properly.

cheers tom just a bit out of my depth and would rather it not happen again. its almost certainly bread and butter to a lot of mini owners but ive never done it before so just a tad worried that 1 wheel will go left and the other right.

a broken thumb and finger has stopped me halfway through this job! so is anyone available this week or next weekend local to b36
