Free Shell with V5

The 998Ti shell will soon be stripped and needs to be disposed of.

Free to a good home.



Registered as a 1993 K Reg Sprite with a 1275 engine.

It will be the bare shell with glass, doors, bonnet and bootlid. No interior, subframes, arches etc.

Needs a lot of welding as you would expect.

Available up to mid June after which it will be scrapped.

This would be perfect for me, but it's a 3 hour journey over! I'll have to think of a plan.

I've never understood this logic.

It's free. There is no plan to think of. Commit to buy, borrow a trailer, and go get it.


Even if it was 1/2 hr away, you still need to drive there with a trailer, load it up and drive back. That will be a total of 2hrs. It's 3hrs away, so same loading time is basically 7 hrs of your day. 4 hrs difference. That's nothing in the big picture, especially for something that you want.
Sure, account for some petrol money, but that's still pin money in the big picture of what a free shell is saving you over one you have to pay for that is closer...

I had a guy really want something I was selling, but wouldn't drive 2 hrs to come and get it. Kept pestering me to meet him, after he'd already talked me into a lower price. In the end, someone from 4hrs away came and got it, and paid my full asking price. The first chap couldn't believe he'd missed out on it, wanted second guys contact details so he could try to buy it off him... Just crazy.


So just get up there old chuffy and buy it. Make it an adventure if you need to. Just do it.

TurboDave16V, i tottally understand where youre coming from. By Plan i meant organising who i can borrow a trailer off to embark on said adventure. (and unfortinately due to my age i cant just hire one!)

Yes, stripped it down to the bare shell at the weekend, so it's ready to go.

Has to go in the next couple of weeks to make space for a new camper.

If only I had somewhere to store this, while I finished ( /started ) all my other Mini projects !

Surely someone will have it? Im just letting other people have it as i have too many projects BUT if no one does have it ill gladly take it before it goes anywhere near a scrappy! That cant happen!
