I am looking for the correct spanner ( thing to put on the nut) to tension up the nuts for the pistonrod nuts. The starform can be tightend with a m14 spanner but is far from ideal. What spanner should i get or who has one?

Err..., you want a 1/2" socket, and a torque wrench.

You need to purchase a set of "english" sockets...

If you are really struggling to find any, shoot me a pm. If you pay for postage, I'll ship you over various odd sockets I have laying around that I never use. I might even throw in a few spare spanners...
Either that, or I can get a nice new set of very good quality ones for little money.

Maybe I'm feeling kind, or maybe I just hate to see a 15mm used on a 9/16 nut.... LOL

Quarry Bonk

It's a multipoint socket, should be able to get hold of a set pretty easily.

well hell yes now reading that i googled that and thought of that socket set i once got of an military man when i was 18. he then had a garage over mine never spoke to me for 5 years then one day he stood in my garage behind me like he got beamed there. scared the shit out of me... in his hand a box with ratchet and sockets. just chuved it in my hands says use it well and he was gone again went on mission to Israel few days later never saw him back. ( never got to thank him either) ... HOWEVER all those sockets were multipoint! but forgot where i placed them. just dug them out. the m 13 does fit pretty well.

13mm is as close as you'll get though still a little baggy.

But definately get an imperial spanner and socket set, there not expensive.

www.buitelaar.nl probably has inch sockets cheapish.

But if you work on engines get proper tools.

I have a set of proper Gedore imperial 1/2 " 12 point sockets and spanners.Worth every penny. You only have to buy a strip of sockets that will work with your current tools.
In a pinch only buy the five or so you need for a mini but get the good stuff.

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system
