Anyone else drilled into the water jacket on the stud hole nearest / just above the oil pump. It was my last one. I couldn't get just enough thread depth, so drilled a little deeper, and caught air...

I think some RV8 holes go through into water, just stick some sealer on it and never worry 9.85 @ 145mph

Locktite 515 is good stuff. It's a flange sealant but works well as a thread locker too, good for sealing oil and water. It's about £45 a tube over here, but not so bad where you are. Edited by matty on 26th Mar, 2015. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

I use the ARP proprietary thread sealer.
