Hi - I'm designing a new better flowing plenum without that brass restrictor ring. This has been explained in detail else where on this forum regarding Pitot tube and the 37mm restrictor plate. My question is - using the Pitot tube will I need to blank off the two holes that feed the fuel chamber that allows a higher pressure forcing fuel out the needle valve under boost pressure to stop it weakening out (see pic). The balance tube should be rerouted from fuel chamber out too Pitot tube - correct?? The 37mm restrictor is easier to do but as Im trying to get maximum air flow through the carbs surely it will be a counterproductive to air flow?

Any advice much appreciated

cheers

mike...

My suggestion (from someone who spent a few years dicking about with restrictors) is to replicate what is inside the metro plenum...

While a restrictor might work well with a regular venturi carb, I can only assumme the bridge and piston makes for a slightly different case.

When I finally gave up and changed my plenum restrictor out for a replication of the metro brass sleeve restrictor, all the issues disappeared.
