Ive got a few bits left on my mini before i take it to be set up properly, I believe my mini is running rich as it have black smoke coming from it when reved.

You need a fuel gauge there only about a £10 on eBay, then set fuel pressure to 4 psi. Adjust main jet in carb so that it's flush with the top of carb then 2 1/2 turns down that's the base setting |

It's unlikely the FPR is the problem, but fuel pressure should be checked so you know it is correct anyway. 9.85 @ 145mph

im running standard boost 4psi? The gauge is showing on tick over, still showing black smoke |

Fuel pressure will have no effect on the car at tickover, unless:
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

i bought a genuine SU kit and just went over the whole carb do cheek out the passage ways thouauly it apiars i missed the bowl vent to plenum ones and have had to use the well known "T piece trick"

Turbo-phill has the full rebuold kits. Be careful of the ebay 'service' kits. These don't have all the parts. In the 13's at last!.. Just |
