Read in this months minimag that the old beetles vs minis at york is now going to be a mini event this year.

Now i know there are a few who dont rate the facility but it must be worth a visit. Date is 5 april so first outing of the year

Im hoping to make it if I cant get her back together in time :)

Ive been there a couple of times and its a shit hole, I wont be in a rush to go there

A quick search just shows 3 categorys fastest a series, fastest bini and fastest overall and rwyb open to all cars so not really gonna be just mini showdown

The original one ended up with plenty of non minis in the end too

gutted, back in the UK over the Easter break but fly out to Spain for a week on the 5th April.
York is a shit hole, but was an interesting day last year.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

yes, not hearing great things about York but it is an event all the same and a little easier for me to get to than most of the other events

York is what it is, no its not great facilities wise, and yes its an old airfield.

But lets be honest, Avon Park isn't exactly the nicest place to spend the day either!!

yes, avon consisted of a portacabin you could piss against and a little bit more; can't comment on the track condition at York (I know a fair few aren't impressed).

as for overnight, its the beginning of april so perhaps a travel lodge will do me on Saturday. either that or an early start on sunday but I fancy a curry and a pint....

Well I have been, and I've also been to Camberley, and I know which I would choose, and it doesn't begin with a C.

Like I said on fb, your welcome to camp in our field with t'hosses,only 30 mins away, we have an outside tap and if I run you and extention lead from the stables we can double the facilities available at seaton ross, I might even throw a cup of tea over you in the morning if your good

plot twist i don't live in camberley just of the nicer towns near it though.
