12G295 Cooper Head For Sale Good Spec

Hi all,

I have my 12G295 Head that has been ported by our very own Turbo Phil. I had it checked this time last year by the machine shop when I built the new engine, for cracks and also had is skimmed with the block so I know it was flat. Its probably done less than 2000 miles since then.

I've stripped it today and cleaned it up, re-lapped the valves and its ready to fit:

Spec:

- 33mm Mini Spares stainless race inlet valves
- 27.3mm Mini Spares stainless exhaust valves
- Converted for unleaded
- Double race valve springs 180lb
- 24.5cc
- I have put new valve stems oil seals on the inlets whilst it was apart
- Bullet nose bronze guides
- Includes the temp sender.


The valves are 1275 so slightly longer than the old cooper spec ones that weren't available when I had the head re-built by Phil. The valve springs have had shims put under them so the spring pressure is correct.

Performance
This head has produced the goods on my car I have run 90bhp at the wheels so about 110 at the fly.
It also gave a 10bhp increase at the wheels with the same spec engine, on the same rollers when Phil originally built if for me, so its well ported.

I would paint it again before re-fitting as it has a couple of chips but I have left it is, as I know alot of people dont choose green anymore.
