I still don't get fronts that flip forward. They just get in the way when you try and work on the engine. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

well it would be easier to flip it clear of the car then lift it off rather than lift it up and off at once? imo |

I wouldn't have a flip up one, it's skared enough seing how much a bonet deflects up at speed. I had a flip forward front but it totally got in the way, that's why I now have a removable front and traditional bonnet. Best of both worlds. But aye flip up fronts give me the fear. I'd rather the inconvenience of a flip forward front for the safety improvement. Edited by evolotion on 25th Dec, 2014. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

It looks like he's removed all of the original mech in the boot lid itself and just created a slot for the half moon to rotate into
