Clutch between the engine flywheel and transmission. Active portion fixed to the rear end surface of the flywheel, the driven portion is located between the flywheel and the pressure plate, and is connected to the spline hole through the center of the first shaft of the transmission. Pressing located between the pressure plate and clutch cover, with its elastic force to the friction plates should be clamped between the flywheel and the pressure plate, the main use of the friction torque to the driven engine parts output torque transfer part. Separation mechanism mounted on the clutch cover and pressure plate separation lever, set in the transmission of the first shaft bearing cap release bearing sleeve and release fork mounted on the flywheel housing components. Isolated fork connected by mechanical means or hydraulic mechanism and the clutch pedal cab.

Clutch engagement is often in a state of torque transmission, only the clutch pedal, the separation mechanism would pressure late shift and lining separately presented separate state. At this point the torque transmission interruption can be such as start, shift, brake items of operating jobs. When the vehicle driveline overload clutch starts slipping, overload protection for the drive train. The friction plate also has a torque damper, so the driveline to work more smoothly. Part of the traditional structure of the clutch pressed to use more evenly distributed around the circle along the coil spring.

In addition to manipulating the clutch more demanding, the stretch is not easy even. There is axial size large, high-speed compression force decline and other shortcomings, is gradually being replaced by a diaphragm clutch. The use of a disc-shaped diaphragm clutch diaphragm spring replaced the coil spring and the release lever, not only the axial foot was reduced and the manipulation of light, can be reliably pressed no matter under what circumstances. Clutch transmission control mechanism means that part of the clutch pedal to the separation between the fork. Most of the vehicle by mechanical structure, by Con rod or wire rope to connect the two. There are some vehicles with hydraulic mechanism, through hydraulic transmission to the two linked together.

This is like 50 shades of clutch manipulation
