On september 10/11 there is a Britcar 24h race at Silverstone. I think that this is the first 'pukka' 24hour race to be held in the UK for a long time. They are planning for it to be a LeMan type feel with plenty of entertainment throughout the night.

There is an 80 car field including a nice Nobel M12 racer and other tasty GT cars. The race kicks off at 4pm on the Saturday, preceeded by a couple of support races.

Me, my bro and about 10 others will be there abusing alcohol and generally having a good time.

Camping is available in Whittlebury Park which is 200 yds from Silverstone and has direct access to the circuit (cost ?15 per plot).

Entry to the race its self is ?20 for the whole weekend, which I think is a bit of a bargain.

Come and join us for a big BBQ on the Saturday night.
