Do people do anything to radius the outer ends of the 'log style' manifold
It seems to be a really poor flow area
Was thinking of building it up with some chemical metal to give a nice outer radius

Cheers
Nothing better than advice from someone with experience .
just out of interest, does the visibly horrible squared/dished ends of the 'log' tube create some sort of vortices that help the flow around the 90deg. bend .
It looks to the eye that it would be the perfect place for fuel drop out ?

i dont think theirs much chance of mixture separation in there due to the sort of small CSA and rather tight winding bends in it this all make the mixture move quite fast and violently helping it stay as it should

imo its more likely when the intake CSA is huge and straight where the mixture speed is low then its likely to drop out but not so much when there is good mixture speed and a rough surface

Smart Guy!

mainland europe near ze germans

When you test on a flowbench you have a lot of things that work fine, even though it looks wrong and lots of things that look great but don't work at all

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system

I had Turbophil just tidy up mine, he did the entrance and exits on it which is now fitted to shaunas car, he's not touched anything else in the manifold so I would say he too knows that it's best not mess too much with it.

its just that people spend so much time and effort on flowing inlet and exhaust ports on a head and then to bolt on something with such visible hideous restrictions ?
difficult to get in there and do much about it anyway

Years back i cleaned up my inlet and then got told 'ya shouldnt of done that' apparently being turbo the roughness helped 'mix' the air n fuel at the speed its being forced in anyway??
