im trying to work out comp ratio
i have 21.4 cc head on a +20 so 1293cc 16cc pistons i make it 8.4 to 1 could someone verify i havent calculated incorrect !

Ive only just sussed this out myself recently so maybe not the best to answer. But if your saying total cc = 37.4 then I make it 9.6:1 (Somebody should be along to verify this or shoot me down)

Just to point out you need to take into account the gasket and the piston to deck area

iv taken gasket and deck into account i think i will have to recheck

8.4 sound about right to me. Guessing a few figures:

Piston 16cc
Ring land 0.6cc
Gasket 3.8cc
Head 21.4cc
Piston to deck 1.5cc

= 43.3 cc

Giving CR somewhere around 8.5

Yeah I get 8.5:1 based on 43.3

i get 8.7:1 using all my old measurements and zero deck height
