After buying a used engine, what would you recommend me to do first?

Rebuild it probably. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Things I would definitely replace are the oil pump, fit a Central oil pickup, hardened diff pin, relap the valves and fit new stem seals, new plugs, leads, gaskets etc On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

worth a good look over imo sounds like you need a hynase what ever its called workshope book i beleave they have a good bit in there of what to check out/normal/fucked..
