hey guys

Ive been away for a while...busy with work and all that...pretty much like all of us right ??

pls don't get me wrong, but couple of months back some twat wrote off my lowered very tidy black A4 on 17's....feeling sorry for myself and looking for another nice black audi daily, I stumbled across a mint V8 4.2 litre S5 6 speed manual on factory 19"s without a dint on it with 46k on the clock.

Its very smooth and very quick after a few service items and k&n, delimited etc...however cant beat the mini for a blast at the weekend, although its the first time i've gone at 165mph without really trying....sooo stable at speed, its unbelieveable and quattro to boot... ace motor, sounds awesome...truly, especially at 6850rpm, lol!!!! *smiley*

Apparently, these motors are bullet proof and will produce enough nannas to pull 200mph, given the correct induction, with only a fuel pump and clutch upgrade, well and a 15-20k out lay. accordining to these chaps....124 on the quarter... without using most of the big cogs, if you put some 20"s on ??

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

Always had a weakspot for Audi's, congrats on getting yours.

I have driven an Audi tuned RS6 that allegedly had 500hp.
This was a twin turbo V8, not the Lambo engined one.
A beast, acceleration phenomenal, sounded very very nice.

Dazed and Confused....

Yeh me to, really glad I got it, the creature comforts are all there to....

Twin turbo does sound appealing as well, thought the supercharger package look the business and just bolts on...no bottom end mods,

Understood, the V8 is a gas guzzeler, 23 to the gallon if I'm lucky....

The older V8 S5 is very nice, the V6T one though I didn't like at first but it's grown on me. I've had the chance to drive an S8 and a V10 R8, and shockingly out of the two, the S8 was far more fun *happy*

Yeh, agreed on the v8, they stopped doing them in 12' with the face lift,

I believe they moved away from the NA due to the inlet carbon build up due to the direct injection...

I just cleaned mine, not sure it was ever done, really noticed the difference,

Would love an s6 or s8 next

Although an rs5 might be cheaper than the s5 supercharged option I'm considering ?
