I came across these photos on the ‘net last night – they may have been posted before, but anyhow, I was intrigued as to the lack on plenum chamber on the racer?
http://www.skjulestedet.dk/bilogmc/worksmg...ksMG18_big.html
Anybody know why this is?

Some other photo’s and interesting info here: http://www.skjulestedet.dk/bilogmc/worksmg/Gallery1.html

You don't need a plenum. What you need is the float chamber pressurised 3 or 4 psi higher than the pressure in the throat.

It's hard to see how they might have managed this, but there are a number of ways to do it. But the easiest is by using a plenum with a restrictor ring.

Cool car.

Amazing to think we're looking at 30-year old technology...

I see this car at silverstone classic most years I never noticed the possible dry sump is the gearbox just lubricated by draining oil from the top end then?

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Yeah I was fascinated by the photos too, amazing old school, yet oddly sill relevant!
Some interesting gen on build specs. One pic suggests the ran rear discs!

Stunning bit of kit that,

not seen that many pics of one of those Group A cars, a few interesting suspension suspension pics there, also didnt know they had rear discs.

pretty sure they swuirted oil at the gears in these, not sure about the bearings though... maybe thats why the gearbox's kep shitting themselves...
