Annoyingly, after spending the last few weeks refitting my engine I have gone and dropped the little nut/bolt that secures the choke cable to the throttle linkage. Never to be seen again.

As it's so close to MOT time I didn't want to wait til next week to get it finished. As the order probably wouldn't go through until tomorrow sometime I wasn't sure if get it for the weekend.

Could use a small bolt and washers for the time being, so it would be nut,washer,choke cable,washer,nut, a mm of space for the nut to rotate,choke lever,washer,bolt head. Edited by Carlzilla on 9th Jul, 2014. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Or even drill a small hole through the bolt and nuts either side of the hole with washers to clamp the cable, with a little head scratching I'm sure you can sort something :)

Good ideas Carl, I'm hoping to have one now tomorrow of a bloke nearby. If not I will drill a cap head as you mention above.
