The best oil for an a series?... im under the impression the millers cvt is manufactured specifically for this job Yes i moved to the darkside

are there any places in aus that sell it? i have asked at most places i go but no joy id like to run it next best in my opinion is penright HPR30 its made for the older cars so there web page says |

From what I have read about it, it's a race oil, so is more about losing the friction than trying to make everything last longer. I currently use valvoline vr1 in my race engine and think its a great race oil, but I don't think it would be a good road oil. Millers ctv would be the best shout for that. This is all n/a though so may be different with turbo use.

That's a mineral oil. Go for a semi synthetic if you can find one.

What about wet clutch motorcycle oils? they do those in full synthetic and are suitable for shared engine/ gearbox. make sure it's suitable for wet clutch though if your gearbox has synchro's On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

they work great, easy to find if you look for "JASO MA" printed on the bottle

Thanks for the tip! My engine builder also advised me to use motorcycle oil.....
