I am going to sell this for my brother. Basically he ran it for about 1000 miles following a full rebuild.

The spec is as follows

S/GT close ratio helical gearset built into an A+ casing
centre oil pickup
four pin diff
3.6 final drive
straight cut drop gears

the laygear is stamped DAM3168. This is the mk3 S/1275 GT close ratio gearset.

The gearbox casing numbers are as follows

A/B26 DAM
BC&M 5626

on inspection the gearbox is spot on. all of the teeth are in a1 condition. the gearbox ran without any issues.

Genuine reason for sale, is that he is going down a different route with his mini

He is looking for near £750 for it.

Do you know who's diff it has and if it was new with the rebuild?

hi, I have spoken to my brother. he said the diff went in at the same time. he also states that the diff was either a minispares or minisport item. the gearbox has been in the car for a few years, but has covered low miles as stated in that time, as its just a toy! cheers, dan

If hed split the drops id be interested in them

i spoke to him about this the other day. he would prefer it to go as one.

however if it doesn't sell, or if there is firm interest on the indicidual components ie drops, diff, final drive and the rest of the gearbox we may split.

Its all very good. Want to see if I can sell it whole, will only split if I get an offer fir the gearbox without drops and diff as these will sell on their own without problems. Cheers, dan

Split it and stick it on ebaay sell snow to an alaskan on there..

its tempting. going to give it another few weeks.

How much for just the drops mate?

hi nick, have had loads of offers for the drops and diff. would still prefer it to go as one, if not I would need a buyer for the box itself prior to selling the drops and diff off. I will keep this thread updated if there is any news, cheers, dan
