A few years ago I spent days fettling and dowelling my LCB to suit my cylinder head and dont really want to do it all again so Im after a used Maniflow large bore LCB that I can use to splice the bends under the car into mine since it got mangled around the diff in the crash.
Cash waiting and I dont really need the Y piece underneath the car but will take the whole thing if necessary.

Edited by paul wiginton on 4th Nov, 2013.

I seriously doubt it!

Might have just what you need.
Could you measure the OD of pipes at the y piece so I can check mine is the right bore?

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

If its the LCB I think it is, they are £300+ new. Not your run of the mill LCB.

Then of course there is confusion over what is meant by 'large bore' as there now appears to be an LCB with skinny down pipes but with a large bore Y piece exit labled as 'large bore'.

Last time I looked for my 1400 for the large bore LCB, they were in the region of £300+

Surely a few select mandrel bends of the correct size, angle, and your skill will get that sorted Paul?............

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The trouble is getting inside it Colin, I could straighten it if it were a bit bigger. Yes it is a £300+ with a couple of days fettling to make it right so if I can just get the bottom 6"ish and weld it on Ill be happy.

Cheers Carl

I seriously doubt it!

I will check mine this evening, but think Colin May be right. I've just put a £300 one on and I know the one that came off was both smaller & cheaper!

Would it be worth contacting Maniflow and see if they'll bend a couple of tubes to match the lower half curves, rather than a full manifold? They've always been exceptionally helpful to me and don't seem phased by odd requests. Can't see them charging a fortune.
They may even be willing to re-jig yours and repair the bottom section for you?
