Update, the block sold quite a while back, the pistons and crankshaft are available separately, apologies to those that enquired for not getting back to you sooner:

15cc forged omega pistons on MED lightened, balanced and shot peened con rods - £300

One piston has two tiny valve marks in, there is also slight scratching on the skirts and a little bit of pitting on the ringland, none of this is anything to be concerned about, I'm only mentioning it out of total honesty


CAM6581 (gen metro turbo??) crank still on standard grind. - £100

Would these pistons be ok for a normal block or just the short block?

Short block is just another way of saying engine, minus head, box, clutch, ancileries.

Those pistons will fit any 1275 block that's been bored to correct size.

Ahhh rite my mistake haha i thought it had a shorter stroke. How bad are the valve marks in the pistons could you possibly get any pictures?

Interested in the rods if you split

Hi,

I wont split the pistons from the con-rods. They are push fit and the risk of warping the piston is too high to risk removing them. The rods are lightened, balanced, polished and shot peened with the work carried out by MED.

I could be tempted to sell the pistons/rods separately. I guess a second hand low milage 1293 block is worth £100ish so say £400 for pistons and rods?

If you are splitting I need a crank.

Any chance of any better pictures of the ring lands.

If the pistons and rods are still available I could be interested. I am prepared to take the pistons off the rods at my own risk as I don,t need the rods and could return them or split the deal with someone who wants the rods.

Yes everything in the above advert is available - I'm not particularly willing to try or get involved with splitting the pistons and rods - Tadge if you wanted to do this and could find someone else who wanted the rods then that sounds great, but I dont really want the rods back! :)

Dischub - I really don't want to post the crank dude, its an epic pain in the ass to safely wrap and god knows how much they would want for postage!

I'd be interested in the rods :)
