Get a compression test done, air will escape on any build engines dont hold air indefinately (sp?) Yes i moved to the darkside

I can easily push the car in third with the plugs in then hear any compressed air escaping over about three seconds. I don't need to get a leakdown test done! I'm planning a total rebuild over the next six months or so but a not completely shagged head would be a good interim improvement (I hope). Nial. |

Are you sure it's shagged and it is the head? Some compression noise is perfectly normal, or at least I always thought it was. If it was fucked then you probably wouldn't hear it escaping! |
