Bled my brakes today and in the process found that the threads on my bleed screw on my Caliper were knackered. Tried cutting to a larger metric M10 thread but not entirely successful

Need a replacement Caliper or someone who can refurb mine ASAP. Have a track day booked for the 9th August! *surprised*

Thanks!

Well, you have messed it up good. You can get taper repair pluigs for this very occasion, but going M10 you can't do this anymore. A new caliper is your only option.

Depending on how much damage you did...
I have seen people using a small ball bearing and cut-off M10 bleed nipple when the M10 thread wasn't in correct allignment with seat.
They used a ball bearing into the calliper, nocked it in with a punch to create an seat. Then used the cut-off nipple to close the ball into the seat.
Worked a treat.

Having said this, not sure what I would do as brakes are kinda important......

Dazed and Confused....

Think I'll be ordering myself a new Caliper tomorrow. Better still, thinking I'll get the Minispares 7.5 4 pots....

4pots are worth pursuing at this point for sure.
