i have been having problems with my speedo not working. not good. so stripped the speedo housing off the car this evening, the 7/17 setup that I currently have seems not to be suited - the 17 tooth pinion has stripped its teeth. it was tight going in. I have tried a few 17 tooth replacements that I have, they are tight also. have tried a 15 tooth one which feels ok, obviously this would make the speedo massively over read.

so I am going to try a 16 tooth one - only problem is I need the car Friday and over the weekend as im going out and about in it!

has anyone got a spare 16 tooth pinion? that could be posted very quickly? beer tokens waiting.

I really hope someone can help me out.
