Get a SA Crank.

Youre probably looking at 4 figures for a 1071 crank.

No a second hand genuine 1071s crank is 4 figures.

Well. Ive seen them advertised for that. Selling is a different matter mind.

I know a few people have the short stroke SA cranks hidden about. I think Jimster was after one too?

Might be worth going in with him to have a pair shipped from SA.

yeah S stuff is really shooting up in price, especially the odd stuff like 970 and 1071 cranks.

I would say you'd be unlikly to get a usable 1071 crank for less than about 700 quid, ie been reground a couple of times, and a good non ground one yeah 1k+...

and to think I knew a bloke that skipped about 5 when he gave up mini racing in the 80's *surprised*

almost cheaper to get a billet one!

Got one here in Australia, didn't know they were 4 figures in £'s. Saving mine for a Cooper S recreation in the future, sorry!. Came with a bunch of parts I bought in 1997 for $100 Aus.

Ash.

I have a Mini again & a collection of Turbo bits, what to do???

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.
