it smokes when on boost so think the turb needs a rebuild, thing is I really want honda conversion instead I started the turbo project because I thought it would be cheap power 500 at most and then I could save up for Honda. 3.5k later I still need to spend more money On 10th Mar, 2012 theoneeyedlizard said:

Would you not be better just rebuilding the turbo? You put a great deal of work into the build and would be a shame to quit now?? |

Is there oil in the intercooler pipes? May not be the turbo, could be valve stem seals, or guides or something silly like that? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

Problem is turbo rebuild is 350 then a rolling road day at slark is another 350 if its not turbo and is rings then its another 250 for a rehone and new rings IF it doesnt need a re-bore its best part of 1k meaning ill have spent 4.5k on the engine alone and I havnt realy touched the box yet On 10th Mar, 2012 theoneeyedlizard said:

£350 for a for day at slark! Surely it can't be that much?

Don't be fooled into thinking that Hondas are fit and forget, modern engines break as often as A series engines, especially when you start modifying them to fit in a mini. Plenty of people on 16vminiclub rebuilding their engines at the moment. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
