Adding an intercooler may help you raise the boost slightly.

I think you may be brave at 10psi on a completely standard engine with no intercooler

If its an era and in stock form I would not run more that 7 to 8 max . Would be a real shame to bugger it for the sake of 10 or so bhp .

Why not have the chambers open to 23cc to be safe. You can keep the standard shape chamber at that.

HI,

I donīt want the ponnies, more the torque. Have started to make a head, but donīt have the time at the moment to finish it.

Sure, I donīt want to roast my engine. Thats why Iīm here!

Thanks

Block off the ecu bleed valve jobbie and adjust/replace your actuator to give about 9-10psi. Setup will have to be bang on though. Should make 100ponies and torques and feel a damn site quicker than standard due to not having the boost modulation thingy that keeps the boost down till high revs.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

8 psi and thats it on that compression and no intercooler, if you frig the ecu you will trash the standard helical gearset. it will all end it tears

I have just fitted a bini diesel intercooler in my mini behind the grill and its perfect size wise for a round nose mini without butchering it!
