Not to piss on Wolfys for sale but you will find a single 45 will give better power and torque, although the splits look better

I seriously doubt it!

Can't agree more about the performance of a single over the splits. They came off a friends na 1380 running a 300 scatter .. It's never been better since its had a single on it

Why would a single give more power? This split setup is wanted for a 1460 cc engine

All to do with manifolds. In the old days having splits gave the edge due to far superior manifold design when compared to then available swan neck type single dcoe manifolds.

Later type single dcoe maniflow designs became as effecient in terms of airflow/CFM whilst the increased length (up to 7") helps ram charge harmonics / bumps torque to the extent where it outweighs the more even fuel distribution of splits on -short- longman inlets.

Splits do look ultimately cool however, some proper length custom split maniflow inlets might prove a game changer? *wink*

Seems a somewhat inconclusive thread too.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I looked into it, Swiftune and Pete Baldwin both said the single would be superior. Gav tried it and they were right. Simple as

I seriously doubt it!
