Hi guys, new to the forum and turbo minis so please excuse the noobish questions....

I have had my mini as a daily driver for around a year and a half now with an engine rebuild along the way and now with a newer car for long journeys i am in the position to consider another engine rebuild and upgrade to the mini :)

I am currently running a 998cc engine with the following specs:
1- Overbored to next size
2- MD266 Cam
3- Omega Pistons
4- Vernier Timing Kit
5- Hardened crank
6- Mild head Tune
7- and finally a lightened flywheel.

Alongside this i have a standard gearbox which is in need of replacing and a webber 45 DCOE toned down to the same size as a webber 40.

So the main questions are am i anywhere near a good starting point and what are my options as I have no idea.

Many Thanks Karl

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

a generally good healthy engine is a good starting point,

this guide written by TM members is an excellent start, infact the whole website is worth a read
