Borrowed one of these to pick up a new track bike
Daytona 675

Not bad but some annoying flaws
Can't manually take off the indicators without a minimum of three flashes >.<
And the cup holder is impossible to use without two hands

The windscreen doesn't demost properly as it seems to have the same system as a mini haha
And the load size is 1/3rd the size of a transit
And it wanders about without a load

Pretty much avoid unless you want the badge

Not too bad on diesel though
£75 for 500 miles
Cruises at 80 and can hit over a ton
But VERY pricey to buy
So transits all the way for me!

Keith Timpson has one of these on the road and have to say it drives nice (for a van).

agreed, the cup holders seem to be pants - most are broken

As for comparing it to the transit, yes they are expensive, but they seem to hold the longer term value. Transits seem to rust far too easy as well; I'm not in the position of having to buy a van so my opinions may be mis-guided!

Thing is with a van, most are lease/company vehicles and are only used for about 5 years before theyre returned, so its not surprising they dont especially how some people use them.

Transit's are very good vans, althought the mk6 (facelift) doesnt seem as good as the pre facelift ones. I am a VW/Audi group man so always prefer the VW but day to day, you cant beat a transit, theyre not called the backbone of britain for nothing!

I have on of thiese. A -10 with the 2.0 tdi at 140 hk(??). Mine is the long and heavy duty version with sliding doors on both sides. It's handy for what I am using it for (mostly private stuff as I only use a small bag with tools at work).
But the cup holder is rubbish, and I had to take it to the garage to get the fuse for lighter fixed. The fuse are hidden under drivers seat, and not mentioned in the manual :(

That sucks!
The old transporter engines are pants
It's a scene thing, most of them are modified campers

The mk5 older transit engines are bullet proof and can be run on straight veg oil
If your a pikey haha

but the mk6 (eu forced) common rail one has a reputation for not being great which is a shame

But parts for the new ones are penny's
Whole front end including headlights painted for £200

Add another 0 for the transporter!
The orange peel from the factory with them is shocking too

We have had a transporter for the last two years at work and it has been a pile of shite. Had to have the CV joints replaced after about 10k, along with loads of other issues. I'd have a transit over one everyday.
