had a mini for a very long time, then decided to supercharge it(injected) had it on the road about 9000 miles or so then second gear decided to shed its teeth throughout the engine.so pulled it out to sort it all out then its started ..........well it was stored up at a friends house as i was moving units little did i know his mum had a clear out 2 months before i picked up my car and threw out my emerald ecu and all wiring loom and a load of guages as she thought they were RUBBISH i was not best pleased, then at the same time in entrusted my car with a bodywork garage who said yeah not a prob gave me a really good price due to the fact they said they would do it as and when but things would get done,so after lots of chasing and promises my car sat between inside and outside (without my knowledge and a lot of fobbing) for him to move units and say he cant do it now for the price he quoted due to much larger overheads and offers to deliver the car back to me.

upon arrival the scuttle panel had been bent and ruined due to him dropping a tool box on it when moving.and was in a much much worse state then i had gave it to him in after much arguing he bought me a new scuttle and told me to basically get stuff for the rest.

so its been two year or saving up and collecting bits and so far

i have a 1293 block (11 studded)
18cc forged omega pistons
fully worked med rods
fully worked crank eveything i can remember
arp bolt
acl bearings all through
new cam bearing
276 cam(with 112 degree lobes for charging)
new uprated oil pump
new water pump
chilled followers
something has been done with pushrods(not quite sure)
1:5 full roller rocker
duplex lightweight piper cam gear
ultra light flywheel with grey plate

head wise fully worked forced induction special head (MED)

gearbox wise
full sccr 4 speed box everything new all bearing replaced and some other bits
straight cut crown wheel and pinion
quaiffe ATB diff
and the roller bearing straight cut drop
central oil pickup

then shell wise im fully restoring a shell to be immaculate, but with streetfights aluminium doors with perspex windows and carbon door cards and stripped out

6 point safety devices roll cage(door bars, rear diag, dash bar and harness bar)
carbon bonnet
carbon boot lid
carbon parcel shelf

force racing rear beam
specialist components ali rear arms
mini fins

and force racing miglia spec wheels

things i need are rear coilovers and probably a lot of odds and sods that have been misplaced over time and being messed about massivly or lost

so last weekend i managed to find a shell at a ridiculous price and so far today have replaced scuttle and repaired the air vent on the driver side, still need rear valance, and front end(already removed when bought) and then cage in get it ready for paint.

then i have to build the engine up as i now dont trust many people due to being messed about by two different people.so will be needing quite a bit of help from you guys on here, been a member of TM for a long time(one of those people who scour the search button and read threads for knowledge and a good read)
but as its come this far i thought i would start a hopefully good thread with my build

it was supercharged by vmax scarts stuart.it went pretty well at the time.but i did it as an mpi conversion instead of going the proper engine/gearbox route but everyone seemed pretty confident that it would be all ok.im doing it properly this time, and its going to be stripped out poly windows racer kind of look :)

so ,so far today.managed to repair the fresh air vant (was pretty rotten round here and as im not going to be using them anyway im blocking them up.finished the scuttle up just need a very light skim of filler and shaping.

the person who had the shell before me for some unknown reason drilled off and the steering rack holding small panel on the front foot plate exterior,so managed to carefully get my old on off the other shell and weld this is in place.(this took quite some time as was being careful to make sure i kept it in good condition) cleaned up a lot of the bulkhead but ran out of abrasive paint /rust remover pads for my grinder ,they dont last very long at all. fitted up subframe and bolted front panel to it.then did a quick mock up of front end its definatly gonna need some fettling to get front end to sit correctly and panel gaps really good.but all in all not a bad day.

nect weekend will hopefully be getting all the frond end lined up correctly and welded into place.

then week after will look at tubbing the rear arches am dreading this but am going to do a lot of research to find the best way

Pity your bollocks are in line with the flywheel!
