I am about to start making my manifold for my supercharger and wanted some opinions on where to locate the injectors. I am planning on running two injectors either at the top of the S/C where the inlet pipe connects or into the back of the inlet manifold like a direct injection set up.

I Think if i put the injectors at the back of the manifold then it will be more fuel efficient as there is less evaporating but on the other hand might not get a consistent mix of fuel into each cylinder.

If I locate the injectors into the inlet pipe before the S/C then it is more likely to mix the fuel and air better as it goes thought the S/C and more likely to spead evenly in yhe ports but use more fuel due to it evaporating from the hot S/C and multiple moving parts

Am I over complicating things or are my points valid in their own way?

Ay help is appreciated.

I'm really interested in this, has anyone ever put the injectors after the sc? Surly it will cool the charge air temperatures?? Currently build my manifolds or my mpi

Yes is the answer. If you are building it as such you are really building a blow through system.

So all the same siamese port issues need to be taken into consideration.

But I guess of you are leaving the SC on the back of the engine then it begs the question "where are you going to put the butterfly?"

As you don't have a large distance from the SC to the head (and no IC) then you could put it on the inlet to the SC, and remove the requirement for a BOV. (I think).

But if you are going to inject, why not reconfigure the layout, fit an IC and BOV and get loads more power.
