Instead of binning it, can't you fit another ring gear and fit it in the correct place?

MED told me they get their ring gears from Asia, so it would be a factory in Asia then. Edited by dazibee on 20th Feb, 2013. |

yeah they told me they only use factory rover ring gears.... as i assumed.. hate people that lie to your face.

The Verto flywheel has a Verto ring gear. What type of starters are you using? I'd have thought that there are few pre engaged starters in Aus, and in the main, they would be inertia?.......

that was the first thing i did. no good.. tried it with a high torque & every pinion they use with it for every ring gear & still no good. |

i have this problem too. i spacer my starter out with soneone washers then its fine.
