I want to build some bracing for my flip front. I'm not sure, however, where best to mount them against the front of the shell/subbie towers. Could I see pictures of what some folks here have done with theirs? **************************************

Mine bolted on using the front shock top mount position, sandwiched between the top mount and the cross member. I welded the shock top mount to the mounting for the brace and utilised longer bolts. However I used 2mm wall thickness 1.5" steel tube. Own the day

here is a couple of mine, very heavy duty and removable the idea was to tie them into the cage through the bulkhead and hopefully aid in crash protection but i never welded in the full cage and touch wood hope not to crash it Edited by Brett on 5th Jan, 2013. Yes i moved to the darkside

be careful doing the passengers side one, as its easy to make it impossible to get the side rad in/out. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

there is a strip of 10mm thick steel welded onto the bulkhead then 10mm thick steel welded onto the top of the support bar Yes i moved to the darkside
