The big problem with the imperial sizes is that they will always be expensive in the UK, and the selection is always poor, just because everything is metric these days.

Try these two places. we use them at work. Cromwell is really good, if you go to the trade counter, and they don't have it in stock, but it is somewhere else in the company, they'll have it at the counter the following day.

cromwell.co.uk

buckandhickman.com

What I would be tempted to do, and have done in the past, is just buy an allen key the size you want, then cut the cranked end off and just use the appropriate size socket. Probibly cheaper in the long run

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The seally ones you link to look to be good value at the sale price they suggest. I'm sure there is a dealer near you. You might have to order them in, but that will likely be the case with these type imperial tools anyway, in my experience.

Doesn't seem out of the way to me if they are a decent brand. I'm a firm believer with tools that you get what you pay for.

If you only need 2 then i'd just buy single sockets.

As for cost, agreed, not cheep but i take the view if you buy right, you buy once
