Hi all,

I am not sure if this is done and sorry if it in the wrong section, but this will be for all the forced induction guys and girls.

I am building my turbo engine and wanted to get some ideas, I have bought a intercooler, so just wanted to get some pics of intercoolers fitted in the engine bay or even on the front of the car.

Cheers

Bobby

Nick this looks good, what rad is that your are using, and by cutting the central bar out for the front slam panel, is there enough support?

Hi Eden7482

How are you going to be running your piping for the intercooler? As I have the same intercooler and was thinking where to position? Also where are you placing your rad?

Looks really good mate, I am using the original front steel end, so need to work out how to do my piping for the intercooler

Best thing to do mate, is place all the bits where you what them, then sit back and have a good look where you would like the pipes to run. When you have done that make some tubes out of loo rolls and card to mock it up, this will give you an idea of what to buy.

I hope ths helps
As there is no out of the box setup for a mini.

Simon.

An earlier photo but it's still pretty similar,

Clubman (flip front) conversion.

Rad is Metro Mk1 (but the later Fiat Cinq which is more like the Metro for thickness/height also fits) and intercooler is Mk3 Mondeo TDCi, about the same core size as a Cossie 4WD.

Width could be reduced a lot by cutting off the plastic ends and welding purpose made right angle headers (I have a second core cut ready for this) and this woud make the piping much shorter and able to fit within steel inner wings.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
