Its a 86 City E. Had it restored last winter i think!

Iv got bits scattered all over the house.

But the spec will be:

1310 10cc cast omegas
Centre main strap
balanced rotating assembly
Lightened verto flywheel
RTS clutch
Benross head

S/C drops
GT1752 turbo
megajolt
alloy intercooler
playmini exhuast

That's the basic jist of things, il get some more pictures and let them do the talking.

Best of luck harry. Thought the mini was smart last time I saw it. Will be better with the turbo.

BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races!

Not done much on this! My mate robs coming over on saturday to collect all my engine bits. That way we can piece it all together and get everything right before we drop it in!

In the mean while, i fitted my electric fan to my rad. And changed fly wheels too.

Clutch and fly wheel were out of the metro van, its a RTS. I changed the fly wheel over for a minispares lightened verto jobbie.

Original: 4.9kg
New: 4.2kg

UPDATE!

Last sunday Rob and his Dad came over to collect the mini and take it to their garage.

Got all the engine bits bolted together, went together without any problems...

We dropped the engine in and trial fitted the turbo on the manifold. We were not happy with how close it was sitting. We tried rotating the house and looked at how to mount the actuator. In the end we took a grinder to the bulk head for a little extra clearance.

Once we were happy with how it was going to fit, we mounted the manifold to the engine ready to drop in.

Got it all dropped in and got the engine mounts in. And i had to make up a bracket for the actuator.

After today we got the alternator on, starter on, actuator bracket finished. We also got the carb and plenum on. Got the trigger wheel and sensor and bracket mounted.

All comments welcome as this is my first turbo build, and although Rob knows minis he hasnt done a turbo one before.

Harry
