Just thought I'd post up a few pics of my recently rebuilt engine, gearbox and cylinder, all rebuilt by benross.




Today I fitted the engine and gearbox together.

Looks great black engines are the new red, whic we all know is just the new green.

Build looks fab!

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

1293 omega pistons CNC bored and honed. BLOCK DECKED.
oil plugs pulled new core plugs
crank ground new shells
oil pump.
centre main strap
phase 2camshaft. X drilled on a billet.
new camshaft followers chilled iron.
new camshaft bearings.
rotorslide vernier steel duplex.
crankshaft fully balanced to 14000RPM.

Clubman s/c gearset
4 pin diff
Center oil pick up

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the complete setup set you back?

As I am looking at a complete conversion like this but just just need a indication of what sort of cost I will be looking at?

Looks to be a nice setup. What compression ratio will the engine have? What boost and power are you aiming for?
