My project this week, before I start on the Sprint next week, then the Nimbus so it's ready for Le Mans next year then the hillclimber to keep the scroots happy.

Anyway

Started with this:

Then did some cutting:

Then some shocking welding later:

The plate is so I can put a pan or griddle on it.

Will made many of these way years back, for the allotment holders they were queuing. Outside the door when they got to know, I had to stop making them, as I had no time,

at full anger! It will melt you out of the garage literary!, I one made one out of a
large propane bottle same design but much
larger in proportion, this the guy just rammed large logs well anything? Up it the BTUs I calked it out at full chat was in excess of of 160,000 around 34 KW it was insane

It used. To glow red then then near white I though it was going to a full melt down,

You need some vent holes at the btm and a slide to regulate the airflow so it Burns slow!

Most important. A grate inside so it sits off the Bottom holding the fuel say say some 4 to 5 inch up

Cant beat a woodburner in your workshop, you can chuck absolutly anything on them... I chuck old engine oil in a bucket, chuck your wood in there, let it soak up and then the fire gos like stink, thats the time to drop the kettle on top and make the brews haha

It's for the garden, not the garage. Garage stays nice and warm as it's integral.

Problem I have is that the garden is North facing, so as soon ast the sun goes down the garden is freezing, this should take the chill off.

I have plans to add adjusttable vents and a seal round the door, but for now the venting system is the door.

Was debating the idea of a grill, I'll see what I can bodge up.

Looks good, Wil, but that welding is shocking. I might have to confiscate the welder when I am up this weekend.

I hope you have some good sipping Whiskey for a late one in the garden!

If it was on a car, I'd have stopped and asked the internet where I was going wrong, just not good enough, but for this I couldn't give a shit.

Yes I have a nice bottle of Glenmorangie

My valve was stuck solid, so had to cut it off.

The smell is not necessarily gas. The smell is added and lingers longer than the gas. But yes, I filled it with water to expell any remaining before the first cut.
